Falling into Fall

It has finally happened. Fall has arrived, chilly and sunny, and definitely the sign we had been waiting for. Time to finish up the weeding, the mowing, the weekly waterings. Time to take stock, and get the website set up.

Here is the announcement!

We are getting ready to setup for cuttings sales! Our established beds have done really well and all of the varieties last year will be available, plus a few that are starting to produce well in their second and third year like Dickie Meadows and Green Edna, and maybe a few more. Last year's varieties are still on the website here and the new ones will be added to the site when harvest begins in November.

We will also have a quantity of good sturdy live willow varieties that will be available by the rod at the same time. If you are interested in live willow fencing (fedges) a nice dense hedge or living willow structures, and can buy from us in person, get in touch with the quantities you need. These will be local pickup in Old Fort, NC or delivery in the Asheville/Charlotte/Winston area only. No shipping. Information on purchasing live rods will be up on the site when cuttings orders open up.

Planting rods or cuttings should be planned for January - April in our Southern planting zone.

Dried rods will be available Summer 2027.

Ordering will begin on November 1st. Shipping can begin as early as December 15, through the end of February. We'll be selling packs of 10 cuttings for $20.  Rods will be priced based on quantities. The shop site is hosted by Tinker and Spinner again this year.
